BEKIR SAMI ÇIMEN
(Mersin-1940)
He graduated from Ankara GEE Painting
Department in 1965. From 1970-75 he
studied at the Berlin State Academy
of Fine Arts. After returning to Turkey
he became an instructor at Ankara GEE
Painting Department, and worked there
from 1975-77. He went on to teach at
the Izmir Education Institute and Ege
University Faculty of Fine Arts from
1977-80. From 1981-83 he taught at the
Bremen University Faculty of Social
Sciences, and today he continues his
painting studies in Bremen. He received
awards in 1978 at the DYO Painting Competition,
in 1983 at the Vakko Grand Painting
Competition, in 1984 at the 46th DRHS,
and an honorable mention in 1984 in
the DYO Painting Competition. |
