INAN ERGIN (Malatya-1943)
He attended the IDTGSYO Painting Department
from 1964-68, where he was later appointed
assistant instructor in 1968. In 1969
he worked with Prof. Emilio Vedova at
the Salzburg International Summer Academy.
During 1971-73 he continued at the (DAAD)
Munich Academy of Fine Arts under Prof.
Mac Zimmermann with a scholarship from
the German Government. In 1978-79 he
performed research in the Munich and
Berlin Academies of Fine Arts under
the same scholarship. In 1983-84 he
continued his studies in this region
with a scholarship from the Berlin Artists.
In 1985-86 he worked as visiting professor
at the Berlin School of Fine Arts. He
opened his first individual exhibition
in Istanbul in 1968. He now works as
an instructor at the MÜGSF Painting
Department, in Istanbul. The artist
has many awards, such as 1975 36th DRHS
Success Award, 1980 Frechen Germany
International Graphics Biennial medal,
and the 1988 International 2nd Asia-Europe
Arts Biennial gold medal.
