The General Secretary Riza Epikmen representing TURSAB and Gamze Aksoy from the Foreign Relations Department participated in JATA Tourism Fair organized in the city of Yokohama of Japan between 2 to 5 October 2003. Since the year 2003 was declared Turkey year in Japan, the country was presented at the Turkey stand organized by Tokyo Presentation Council. Turkish Airlines, TURSAB, congress and visitor offices, hotels and some agencies participated at the stand that presented mainly the destinations in Turkey. During the fair where various products and advertising booklets were distributed, the fashion models of Ankara Accomplishment Institute presented the costumes prepared according to the Ottoman cultural style, and it aroused great interest in the period. The Turkey stand was successful due the great efforts of The Ambassador of Turkey Solmaz Unaydin, the Undersecretary Mr. Raif Karaca and the Presentation Counselor Ilhan Oguz attracted Japanese visitors.
