Umur Türker
(Umurbey -1945)
He graduated in 1965 from the Ankara
Gazi Education Institute Painting Department.
From 1975-1978, as scholarship student,
he studied at the Ecole Nationale Superieure
Des Beaux Arts, in Paris. He was instructor
in the Buca Faculty of Education at
Dokuz Eylül University from 1978-1998.
He has opened 24 individual exhibitions
and participated in hundreds of mixed
and group exhibitions. He has received
seven awards and his works are present
in local and international public and
private collections. The artist continues
to work as a freelance artist in his
workshop in Izmir.
