ZEKI FAIK IZER
(Istanbul, 1905-1988)
He completed his educated at the Sanayi-i
Nefise School in 1928, where he worked
under Çalli. In the same year
he went to Paris and continued his studies
under Andre Lhote and Othan Friesz.
In 1933 he joined the founders of the
"D Group". For a period he
was the director of the Academy. During
1946-47 he was a curator at the Paris
UNESCO International Museum for the
"Turkish Modern Painting Exhibition,"
and organized the Cernuschy Exhibition
in Paris together with Nurullah Berk.
In 1942 he received the First Prize
at DRHS. He participated in several
international exhibitions in Paris,
Brussels, Sao Paolo, Vienna, Berlin
and New York. |
